Deputy Trade Minister,Michael Okyere Baafi says the government would establish about 16_industrial parks across the country as part of its industrialisation agenda.
Speaking to the PE group in Accra ,Mr Okyere Baafi said the ministry of trade is solidly behind the LMI Group and the initiative to organise trade shows for companies to exhibit for the world to know what they are doing and the opportunity to buy what is being showcased.
Mr Okyere Baafi said most of the companies who took part in the trade show are Ghanaian owned companies who are located in the enclave .
"It is a good thing they are doing,we want to applaud LMI,it should be a continuous process"
He indicated that exhibitions and trade shows are a step in the direction,as it gives companies the chance to showcase their products to the world.
According to him ,the concept of industrial parks has come to stay ."You cannot afford to be idle ,as the Government is championing this cause by establishing the industrial parks.We have started already " he noted.
The deputy Minister said, Government will give LMI all the support they need to help them achieve the goal of establishing an industrial park in the country.
."Government alone cannot do it, LMI is a big name when it comes to industrial parks. " he noted.
He urged business take advantage of the opportunity through the push government is given them to showcase their business to the world for people to see the kind of products .hence they should not miss the opportunity,
The Deputy Trade Minister also encouraged up and coming investors to consider investing in every sector of the economy.
As an indigenous company, LMI is committed to the government's industrialisation drive.
