Boxer Abdul Umar Wahid gave Team Ghana its second medal in the Commonwealth Games after he won bronze in the Men’s Flyweight 52kg.
Umar lost his semi-finals to Pakistan’s Muhammad Waseem in three rounds and picked up the medal for his efforts.
He joins Razak Abugri, the judoka, as the only medal winners in Ghana’s contingent at the Games.
Umar’s conqueror, Waseem will take on Andre Moloney in the final on Saturday 2nd August at the SECC Hall in Glasgow.
